The flume consists of a flow channel of size 0.50m depth x 0.25m width x 4m length (Other sizes can also be manufactured on request). Gates provided at the upstream and downstream of the test section help to regulate the depth of flow. These gates can be adjusted with rack and pinion arrangement for accurate and smooth operation to facilitate the varying of discharge and head water. Depth measurements can be achieved with the help of a hook or pointer gauge mounted on a trolley which gives longitudinal movement. The trolley is to be moved manually over the length of the test section. (Motorised trolley can also be provided at extra cost). The slope of the bed can be adjusted manually, to give positive or negative slopes. The slope of the flume ranges up to ± 5 Degrees. An orifice meter is provided at the outlet. Two pressure gauges are also provided; one at the inlet of orifice meter and other at the outlet of the orifice meter. SPECIFICATIONS Length : 4 Meters. Width : 25 cms. Depth : 50 cms.
