COD Digestion apparatus is used for the determination of Chemical Oxygen Demand. It is suitable for COD method for monitoring wastewater influent and effluent, industrial process water, and more. Outer cabinet made of mild steel duly coated. The double wall construction with insulation for minimum heat losses increases the efficiency of the system. The top is made of stainless steel. A solid state aluminum block unit is provided in the instrument for heating. The Al block has provision for holding 15 OR 20 samples to be digested at a time in 38mm dia. reaction vessels with 20ml sample size. An aluminum rack is provided to hold the glass tubes. Temperature is maintained at 180°C±1°C with a digital temperature controller cum indicator. A timer is fitted to the device to set the digestion period (Refluxing). The samples after being digested can be analyzed using calorimeter or conventional titration method. The device operates on 220V AC, 50Hz. The glass parts can also be provided on request.
